Day 2, May 27

We managed to navigate w/o hitting anything. Our first real day alone on the boat with just us. We are getting use to the pace of the boat on the canal, a blistering 6MPH! Tracy even took a shift at steering.



Tracy and I are just thoroughly relaxing. Tomorrow, we pick up Andrew and Lydia and head to Lockport,NY.

Day 1, May 26

 We started out trip on 5/26. Erie Canal Adventures supplied us with  boat, training, and all the needs for a trip down the canal. I am a bit anxious with the boat. We can not get lost, so that is a plus. Maneuvering the boat is a bit tricky, controls are simple, and does require some for thought to navigate "things". Never spent so much time looking at the water.

Day 3, Guests Board, May 28

Wake up in Brockport, 6:30AM. listening to the day wake up. Our day seems so slow, even with the pace. Listening to WXXI, PBS on our echo, the modern conveniences we have included are pure luxuries. Brockport was mostly quiet, and on to Albion where Andrew and Lydia joined us.  We drove/sailed/powered 2 hours and put in at Medina, NY. We tied up on the canal, nice setting. We had dinner at Zambristro, and went for a walk around town.
